We know you have incredible designers to choose from when selecting an artist for your florals. So… why Something’s Blooming?
Our WHY. is YOU.
This video shares the heart behind our studio and how we design. Whether you’re planning a wedding, launching a new product, creating an editorial or commercial set, hosting an event, or celebrating a milestone—we bring intentional, art-driven floral design to every project with care, creativity, and meaning, creating moments that truly feel like you!
I’m Michelle Lane, the owner and creative director of Something’s Blooming, based in Los Angeles. I create artful, garden-inspired floral designs for weddings, brands, editorial shoots, product launches, and immersive events. My journey into floristry wasn’t exactly planned, but it turned out to be one of the greatest joys of my life. With a background in entertainment, celebrity personal assisting, and jewelry design, I’ve always been drawn to creative work—but it wasn’t until I planned my own wedding that I truly fell in love with flowers and the endless possibilities they offered. That moment sparked something in me, leading to a new chapter where I could bring every aspect of my creative self together to craft meaningful, unforgettable experiences for others.
As a proud member and supporter of the LGBTQIA++ community and the newly appointed Director of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging for WIPA SoCal (Wedding Industry Professionals Association of Southern California), I believe that connection and understanding are everything. I don’t just design flowers—I get to know you, your team, or your brand, and translate that understanding into every detail of your event or campaign. Designing florals is a deeply personal collaboration, and I love working with people who value creativity, trust the process (and me), are down-to-earth, and get just as excited as I do about the possibility of unexpected floral moments.
At Something’s Blooming, every design is intentional and rooted in innovation. From thoughtfully curated color palettes to the perfect balance of texture and movement, I approach florals like an artist approaches a new painting—infusing meaning, emotion, intention, and a touch of the unexpected. Whether it’s an immersive floral installation, a delicate floral tattoo (yes, I make them!), a wedding bouquet that feels like it came straight from a dream, or a brand activation that tells your story through flowers, my goal is to craft designs that feel uniquely yours.
If you’re looking for florals that go above and beyond what you expected—something artful, whimsical, and completely unforgettable—let’s make some magic together!
