At Something’s Blooming, wearable florals are one of the things we’re most known for. These pieces are never an afterthought. They are designed for the person wearing them, with intention, personality, and care.
This part of my work started when I was planning my own queer wedding and realized I wasn’t seeing options that felt like me or my partner. Everything felt boxed in, traditional, and lacking imagination. More than that, it didn’t feel inclusive. It felt like the industry had already decided what each person should wear, instead of creating something that actually reflected who they are.
That experience changed everything for me.
I started designing wearables for the individual, not just because someone “needed a boutonniere” or was expected to wear a certain floral piece based on tradition, gender, or what the wedding industry has always done. I wanted to create pieces that felt more personal, more expressive, and more aligned with the person wearing them.
Whether it’s a floral tattoo, a custom lapel piece, or a reimagined boutonniere, every wearable we create is meant to feel artful, intentional, and like something you genuinely want to wear as an accessory on your wedding day or special event.
